The “Toastrack” earned its nickname not just for the shape of the external heat sink. It also generates a lot of internal heat. If you are refurbishing this classic machine, using standard components isn’t enough. Our toastrack refurb kit provides the high-end parts required to keep the 128K hardware running cool and stable.

Vishay is a world leader in electronic components, offering exceptionally low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high ripple current ratings. Upgraded Thermal Management:
One of the most common issues with the Toastrack is a missing or badly fitted heat sink. Our kit includes:

- Fitted Thermal Tape: No messy thermal paste required. The heat sink comes with pre-applied, high-conductivity thermal tape. Simply peel and stick for a secure, professional thermal bond.
Compatibility Notice:
This kit is designed exclusively for the original Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128K (Toastrack). It is not compatible with the latter +2 or +3 models. By replacing the ageing factory capacitors and upgrading the heat sink thermal interface, you are providing the best possible protection for your machine’s custom ULA.
