These components are renowned for their long-term reliability and stability, making them the perfect choice for replacing ageing, dried-out capacitors that often cause “jailbars,” audio hum, or system instability in vintage computers.
Enhanced ULA Cooling
The ULA is the most critical and difficult-to-replace chip in your Spectrum. To help it run cooler and last longer, we have included a quality heatsink. For your convenience, this heatsink comes with high-performance double-sided thermal tape already attached, allowing for a secure, tool-free installation in seconds.
Professional Surface Preparation
A heatsink is only effective if the surface it bonds to is perfectly clean. We include 2 Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) wipes, individually sealed to remain fresh in your toolkit. Use these to strip away decades of finger oils and dust from your ULA before mounting the heatsink to ensure maximum thermal conductivity.
