Description
High Quality Replacement Cassette Belt for Sinclair 128K Models
If your Spectrum +2 cassette deck is struggling to rewind, or if your games are failing with “Loading error” halfway through, a perished drive belt is almost certainly the culprit.
Engineered for Precision:
We know the frustration of “cheap rubbish” belts that stretch within weeks or cause audio pitch issues. Our belts are sourced for their durability and grip, providing:
- Stable Tape Speed: Essential for successful data loading on 8-bit systems.
- Superior Material: High-grade rubber that resists stretching and thermal degradation.
- Perfect Fit: Measured specifically for the Amstrad-designed cassette mechanisms.
Compatibility Guide:
- Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2 (Grey Model): This is the large main drive belt. Note: The Grey model also uses a smaller counter belt (available separately or as a pack).
- Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2A / +2B (Black Models): This is the primary drive belt required for the internal Datacorder.
Installation Tip:
Before fitting your new belt, we strongly recommend cleaning the motor pulley and the large flywheel with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Removing the residue of the old, perished belt is vital to prevent the new belt from slipping or becoming contaminated.
